As obras de ampliação da Avenida Menino Marcelo, em Maceió, foram concluídas, resultando na criação de uma nova pista lateral de 1,8 quilômetro com duas faixas no sentido Centro.
O projeto inclui a instalação de um novo sistema de drenagem pluvial, calçadas acessíveis com piso tátil e rampas para pessoas com mobilidade reduzida, e uma ciclovia de 1,3 quilômetros.
Além disso, a via recebeu uma nova rede elétrica e sistema de iluminação pública, e teve suas áreas de estacionamento ampliadas.
Essas melhorias fazem parte de um pacote de mobilidade urbana de R$ 360 milhões, planejado pela Braskem e fiscalizado pelo poder público, que abrange também a construção e recuperação de vias, ciclovias, calçadas, e a implementação de semáforos inteligentes.
